Project archieve to save all the in-links within projects

Dear all,

I am planning to do a project archieve and before that i want to save all the in-links that are coming from another project in an attribute over the project . Could you please let me know the script to do that .

  1. I am planning to archieve the project
  2. Restore it on the another database
  3. At least the referrence from where the links are coming should be stored in an attribute ?
  4. And retrieve the results in a attribute on the another database once i restore

Any help would be apprieciated!

There is a script in DOORS DXL library to store link data, the stored link data can be then used by Link by Attribute tool in Link / Advanced menu.

To access DXL Library, Tools / DXL Library and then browse in "Some example programs..." until you get to "Example to create a Text Attribute that can be used for Link-by-attribute". It is best to create attribute which are named according to the specific relationship, e.g. "Links from User requirements".
